Sidewalk Preparation Materials Along Jalan Suwiryo Endanger Riders

Materials of sidewalk preparation along Jalan Suwiryo, Menteng, Central Jakarta which are put on the roadside are complained. Besides narrowing the road, they also could endanger riders.

Budiman (50), one of road users, stated that at night the road is often passed by residents as alternative road towards Tugu Tani or Jalan Jendral Sudirman.

"During raining, the water overflows the road mixed with sand and cement even rocks. It's quite dangerous," he complained, Monday (11/30).

Meanwhile, Head of Central Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department, Aris Nandika said that his side has warned the contractor by warning letter to map the materials used. His side is also ready to dismiss the unruly contractor.

"I've warned them before that they must consider their project. The unused materials should be moved away," he asserted.
